Within the scope of STL Life Skills Seminars, Prof. A. Selin Mutdoğan will meet with the Hacettepe community on Monday, October 19, at 11:00 AM to discuss “Can My Profession Change the Climate? Sustainability and Climate Literacy for Every Profession.”

Organized within the Department of Graphic Design at Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts, the interdisciplinary PlantArt’26 Botanical Illustration Exhibition—featuring artworks permanently exhibited at the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry National Botanic Garden, Museum of Agriculture and Biodiversity—will welcome art lovers and science enthusiasts between October 20 and November 13, 2026, at the Ahmet Göğüş Art Gallery, Hacettepe University Sıhhiye Campus.

The Department of Turkish Folklore at Hacettepe University will organize a conference entitled "Sufi Tradition in Turkish Culture." At the conference, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Güzel from Başkent University will discuss the historical development of the Sufi tradition in Turkish culture and its influences on Turkish cultural life.

As part of the 20th-anniversary events of Hacettepe University Faculty of Communication, the panel titled 'Invisible Walls: Diverse and New Layers of Digital Inequalities in Algorithmic Culture,' organized by the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, will be held on October 22, 2026, at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall. The opening ceremony will commence at 09:30.

/ A scientific panel will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Faculty of Letters' Prof. Dr. Tuğrul İnal Hall on the occasion of commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution—which broke out on October 23, 1956—and the 37th anniversary of Hungary's independence.

Within the scope of STL Graduate Talks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdinç Kalaycı will meet with Hacettepe University students on Friday, October 23, at 9:30 AM to discuss “Beyond the Rubble: Volunteering, Solidarity, and Psychosocial Support in Disaster Settings.”

Prof. Dr. Dursun Yıldırım, a distinguished scholar of Turkology, will be commemorated by the Department of Turkish Folklore, Faculty of Letters, Hacettepe University, on the second anniversary of his passing. The memorial ceremony will take place on 27 October 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in Room B13 203, Block D, Faculty of Letters. All members of the Hacettepe University community are cordially invited to attend.
