This seminar explores human attention does not process all information in the environment equally; biologically and socially relevant stimuli may receive attentional priority. Facial attractiveness is one of the features that may contribute to this prioritization. In this talk, the effects of facial attractiveness on visual attention will be examined through studies employing different attentional paradigms. In addition, the ways in which individual and contextual factors may shape these attentional biases will be discussed. The talk aims to evaluate the potential role of facial attractiveness in the allocation of attentional resources.
