In academic research, generative artificial intelligence can be used as a tool, method, and purpose. As a tool, it accelerates processes such as data analysis, writing assistance, and model creation. As a method, AI techniques are employed to generate new knowledge. As a purpose, the educational, ethical, and social impacts of AI are explored, opening new research fields. In this seminar, the three uses of generative artificial intelligence in academic research— as a tool, method, and purpose—will be addressed.
