"Building Social Resilience Against Natural Hazards and Climate Change in Local and Regional Areas (CCAGP)", which is carried out under the leadership of Hacettepe University and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change - General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations - EU Investments Department within the scope of European Union financial aid. 231); the Kick-off Meeting of the "Resilience Working Academy - REMEDY" project will be held.

The main purpose of the REMEDY Project is to create social resilience mechanisms by increasing the competencies of local governments, supporting sustainable development approaches and strengthening infrastructural resilience against climate-related risks in the process of adapting to the challenges brought by climate change. This project is carried out through multidisciplinary research by academics within the Faculties of Engineering, Medicine, Education, Economics and Administrative Sciences and Fine Arts of Hacettepe University.

The REMEDY project, an initiative rarely seen at this scale and scope in Turkey, is implemented thanks to the strategic cooperation between Hacettepe University's deep knowledge of research and innovation and the wide network of local governments of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey.

In this context, the Kickoff Meeting of our project will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 14:00, at the Tunçalp Özgen Congress and Culture Center located in Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus.
