26.03.2024 / Education

Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.”
Viktor E. Frankl

Recognizing, naming, understanding and regulating our emotions and feelings has a key role in improving our quality of life. Increasing our self-awareness, selfcontrol, motivation, empathy and social skills, and thus becoming more successful in our academic, social and professional lives, depends on our ability to manage our emotions. In this seminar, participants will discuss their own emotions and feelings within the framework of the concept of Emotional Intelligence, which is essential for the management of emotions and is defined as "the ability to monitor one's own and other people's emotions, distinguish between different emotions and name them appropriately, and use emotional information to guide thought and behavior." It is aimed for them to understand the emotions of others and to show willingness to use emotion regulation skills.
