On May 29, 2024, between 09.00-12.30, at Sıhhiye Campus Cultural Center R Hall; Hand in Hand for Rare Diseases meeting, in cooperation with Hacettepe University Center for Genomics and Rare Diseases (HUGEN), Hacettepe University Stem Cell Research and Application Center (PEDi-STEM) and Rare Diseases Federation, with the participation of speakers from the Ministry of Health, UNICEF and WHO will be arranged. The meeting will be held in the form of sessions consisting of the main themes of "current situation in rare diseases, overview", "rare diseases-public health", "rare diseases-recording systems" and "coordination and awareness among stakeholders in rare diseases". The purpose of the meeting is to contribute the establishment of multidisciplinary associations and new collaborations and increasing awareness of these diseases in society by bringing together the most important stakeholders in the field of rare diseases; patients, patient families, patient associations, non-governmental organizations, policy makers, clinicians and researchers.
