Hacettepe University Occupational Health and Safety Research and Application Centre (HİSAM) and the Turkish Physics Engineers Association (FMO) in collaboration with the HU Faculty of Engineering are organising the 9th Occupational Health and Safety Symposium. This year, the event titled “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Occupational Health and Safety” will take place on May 5, 2026, at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Hall on the HÜ Beytepe Campus from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The symposium will feature representatives from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security Research and Education Centre (ÇASGEM), the International Labour Organization (ILO) Turkey Office, and experienced academics in both occupational health and safety (OH&S) and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as OH&S professionals who will contribute to the symposium with their good practices in the workplace. The aim of the symposium is to understand the fundamentals of the rapidly spreading use of artificial intelligence applications in all areas and to increase awareness and knowledge in this field by providing scientific information, policies and good practice examples on their effective and safe use in occupational health and safety applications and scientific studies.
