Integrated Photonics Quantum Technologies
28.03.2024 / Conference / Seminar

After completing his undergraduate studies at Ege University, Ozan Arı pursued his master's and doctoral studies at Izmir Institute of Technology. He conducted his master's research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. R. Tuğrul Senger on "electronic, spintronic, and transport properties of carbon-based nanostructures." For his doctoral research, he worked with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Selamet on the growth of group II-VI infrared materials on group III-V substrates and the investigation of defect centers, exploring the influence of different defect processes on various characterization techniques. After completing his PhD in 2017, Ozan Arı conducted research on quantum emitters in defect centers within solid-state materials at Izmir Institute of Technology and joined Aselsan in 2018. At Aselsan's Quantum Technologies Research Laboratory, he led research projects in quantum sensing and quantum cryptography, taking on roles in team leadership and project management. As of 2024, Ozan Arı has transitioned to academia as a faculty member at Hacettepe University, Institute of Nuclear Sciences, where he continues his research in integrated quantum optics and sensing.
