As part of the climate and sustainability seminar series organised by our university, the third session entitled "Climate, Energy, Air Quality, and Smart Mobility: Transition to Healthy and Low-Carbon Cities" will be held online on 8 September 2026.
The main objective of the session is to address the multifaceted relationships between climate change, energy systems, air quality, transport policies, and human health, and to discuss the co-benefits offered by clean energy transition alongside low-emission and smart mobility applications. Furthermore, the programme will comprehensively examine the technological, financial, and governance mechanisms required for the decarbonisation of cities and transport networks, green financing opportunities, just transition policies, and the contributions universities can offer through research, education, and policy development.
Moderated by Prof. Dr Alım Selin Mutdoğan from Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, the session will feature a keynote speech by Prof. Dr Özge Yalçıner Ercoşkun from Gazi University Faculty of Architecture, Department of City and Regional Planning, followed by a panel discussion.
