The "Artificial Intelligence Seminar Series", conducted in collaboration with Hacettepe University Lifelong Learning Centre, Graduate School of Informatics, Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and Distance Education Centre, continues apace. The new session in the series, entitled "Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Neural Networks", will be held on 12 June 2026, between 10:30 and 12:00 at the Beytepe Campus Mehmet Akif Ersoy Hall.
Presented by Prof. Dr Mehmet Önder Efe, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, this seminar will examine the mathematical and theoretical foundations of artificial neural networks inspired by the information processing structure of the human brain. The event will methodologically analyse the capabilities of these networks, which form the bedrock of deep learning architectures, in solving complex problems in contemporary technology, alongside their future application areas. The seminar is open to all academic and administrative staff, as well as students.
